About the Idaho Legislature

The Idaho Legislature makes the law for the state—it is the legislative branch of government.  It is made up of the Idaho Senate and the Idaho House of Representatives.  There are 35 senators in the Senate and 70 representatives in the House of Representatives.   Click HERE for more information about the Idaho Legislature.

Idaho is divided into 35 Legislative Districtsone state senator and two state representatives are elected from each district.  In each district, the House seats (representatives) are designated as Seat A and Seat B.

Every voter in each Legislative District can vote for the state senator and both state representatives in their Legislative District.


Gary is the Republican Candidate for House Seat A in Legislative District 30.
